Silence of Love

This one is too sad! A very touching video.

This shows how the father's love their children silently but perfectly. Appreciate what you have. Say to your parents that you love them!

Story of a Mother's Sacrifice during the Japanese Earthquake!

Spare some time to read this! This one made me cry, a very touching story.
This is a true story of Mother's sacrifice during the Japan earthquake.

After the earthquake has subsided, when the rescuers reached the ruins of a young woman's house, they saw her dead body through the cracks. But her pose was somehow strange that she knelt on her knees like aperson was worshiping; her body was leaning forward, and her two hands were supporting by an object. The collapsed house had crashed her back and her head.

With so many difficulties, the leader of the rescuer team put his hand through a narrow gap on the wall to reach the woman's body. He was hoping that this woman could be still alive. However, the cold and stiff body told him that she had passed away for sure.

He and the rest of team left this house and were going to search the next collapsed building. For some reasons, the team leader was driven by a compelling force to go back to ruin house of the dead woman. Again, he knelt down and used his had through the narrow cracks to search the little space under the dead body. Suddenly, he screamed with excitement, "A child! There is a child!".

The whole team worked together; carefully they removed the piles of ruined objects around the dead woman. There was a 3 months old little boy wrapped in a flowery blanket under his mother's dead body. Obviously, the woman had made an ultimate sacrifice for saving her son. When her house was falling, she used her body to make a cover to protect her son. The little boy was still sleeping peacefully when the team leader picked him up.

The medical doctor came quickly to exam the little boy. After he opened the blanket, he saw a cell phone inside the blanket. There was a text message on the screen. It said, "If you can survive, you must remember that I love you." This cell phone was passing around from one hand to another. Every body that read the message wept. "If you can survive, you must remember that I love you." Such is the mother's love for her child!!

Miss Universe 2011: Miss Philippines, almost there!!

This morning, most of the Filipinos all over the world will again be glued in front of the television to watch the annual Miss Universe pageant which is broadcasted in ABSCBN Channel 2 Live in Sao Paolo, Brazil. Not just Filipinos but also other human nationality. Maybe.
Good news is, this year, we don't just have to rely on what we think or what we believe and what we could do more than just hope and pray. By just a click of a button, we could automatically place her as one of the 15 semifinalist. Good news that Shamcey Supsup is leading the online poll. As the online polls proliferated, she was number 1 in all voting systems there are. When she appeared in the main pageant, she projects grace, natural poise, sexiness and elegance, her confidence sharpened, her body more toned and her gesture more fit for a modern day beauty queen. She is most confident in the Question and Answer portion. To trace back, she lives as one of the smartest, graduating with honors "magna cumlaude" from the very prestigious University of the Philippines. After all, she topped the national architectural board.
So when  the TOP 16 was named, Shamcey was called 14th in the Top 16. All of a sudden, I felt proud. I surprised the way she walked the stage when she continued on the swimsuit competition. So sharp that the Latina early favorites were wiped out.
Shamcey was able to pick the judge Viviene Fox's name who threw her the most difficult question. The question: "Would you change your religious beliefs to marry the person you love?" Shamcey answered, "If I had to change my religious beliefs, I will not marry the person I love. Because the 1st person that I love is God who created me. And I have my faith, my principles and this is what makes me who I am. And if that person loves me, should love my God too."

I was expecting nothing less than First runner-up. But when the results came, she was called Third runner-up. The crowned Miss Universe is Miss Angola.

Not so contented about the results but nevertheless, I'm happy. Although in my opinion, she deserves better than 3rd runner up. I wished that she must be the 1st runner-up. Well, Miss Angola deserves it to be the Miss Universe 2011 as the judges finally mark her as one.

Shamcey Supsup may not have bagged the elusive international beauty title but to a lot of Filipinos, she still is  a true winner. Lovely job! Congratulations! You made the Philippines proud!

Ritratto: Northern Lands Roadtrip adventure

From 7am it's about to take almost 6 hours trip going to beautiful Northern Lands with my super friend(s). Sakit sa pwet fest sa pag-upo for 6 hours!
Me and my best buddy friend plan to went to the province of Pangasinan to visit the church of OUR LADY OF MANAOAG. Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary of Manaoag is a title given to the Blessed Virgin Mary, she is the patroness of the sick, the helpless and the needy. The church is one of the Philippines most widely visited Roman Catholic pilgrimage sites. Many people from across the Philippines come and visit the town of Manaoag, where the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary enshrined in a church dedicated to this name. It is located Manaoag, Pangasinan about 200 kilometers from Manila.

One of the places that wow as inside the Manaoag Church is the Our Lady of Manaoag Rosary Garden. This is one of the peaceful place you could found in the church grounds of Our Lady of Manaoag. This is a real garden with a purpose, were you could find life-sized statues of Jesus Christ and Mama Mary will transport you back to the life of Christ. This garden has a perfect landscape and the plants and flowers are perfectly care by the "manangs" and "manongs". Another feature is an imposing waterfall with a large fishpond and a fountain in the center of the garden.

This garden also welcome pilgrims with its green lush surrounding. There are also big gazebos that provide shade and serve as sitting and rest area. So when you are planning to go to Manaoag, please do visit this garden and together with your family and loves one pray the rosary and say your prayers and petitions to Lord Jesus Christ and Mama Mary.
There's also a spot there where you can light your candles and offer prayers for your special intentions.

This experience for me is all first time experience because I don't go to far places or out of towns plans like this without the company of my parents but since I think I'm old enough to have this kind of adventure. Just wanna share you guys some of my thoughts and my photos with my friend.

First time out of town-ing with friend.
Long hours travel trip.
Commute. Bus.
Bipolar weather.
Road trip. Adventures.
Prayers. Church.
Craziness. Bad hair day.
Foods. Kwentos.
Laughs. Loud noises.
Wasted. Pictures.
Nature. Garden.

It was a great day to start the weekend for us to renew and refresh our mind, body and soul. Did so many things! Always nice to get away from the city even just for a bit. Fall in love with the nature. Strong breeze feels sooooooo refreshing! We all just need some fresh air!

A lot of things happened but these are the highlights. :D Well, at least those that had pictures. What a tiring but very HAPPY DAY!! :)) A couple of snaps from our trip. Thank you Lord for this day well spent!! Nevertheless, I ENJOYED THE WHOLE DAY...

AAL IZZ WELL!!

3 idiots: Life lessons to be learnt. Follow your dream.

Honestly, I don't like watching Bollywood movies maybe because I'm kind of judgmental and always underestimating Bollywood movies but now I can say after watching this it changed it all and it keep me really amazed. I didn't expect Bollywood movie to be this good. Actually, this movie is been recommended by a friend because she told me it has a good story line which specifically focuses on dreams and friendship.

Bollywood movies are amusing, though some scenes can be ridiculous. As of this writing, I finished watching 3 idiots starring Aamir Khan. He's so adorable.

I hope that Bollywood would influence Filipinos like Koreanovelas and J-doramas did. Life is all about listening to your heart and chasing your dreams. That's the essence of 3 IDIOTS. Let me come to the point right away.

There would always be a hero and a damsel in distress.
And a villain. Either we save others, we kill others or we ask help from others. Life makes us choose a role for every situation, and we cannot be two persons at the same time.

The sing-and-dance portion.
Literally, I didn't expect that there will be a sing and dance portion, where the main characters would lip-sync and dance in beautiful costumes with lots of back-up dancers. I love daydreaming. I think everyone loves it too. It's never wrong to dream for the ideal that how we wish that life would be just a sing and dance routine with always have a happy ending. :)

The unending search for love.
The characters would search for the partner at all costs. Pia (the main female lead) escaped on her wedding day to look for Rancho (the hero), who ceased all contact for ten years. It is always cheesy, but aren't we guilty for cheesiness when we're in love??

3F's: Forgiveness, Family and Friends.
The 3F's. Love is something minor. The 3F's are the major issues. Even the mortal enemies in the movie learn to forgive. Even the hard-hearted dads let go of controlling their children.
If only people could learn that life is a lesson to be learnt, the world will be a better place. Every scene is special and brings with it something that's out of ordinary.

The movies is such fun! I enjoyed the unique storyline and the mind - boggling twists and turns. Plus, there is the meaningful moment that you see coming but still feel the heart strings plucked anyway. This movies has it all, the comedy that makes us laugh out loud, the tearjerkers scenes, the singing and dancing that makes '3 Idiots' a complete Bollywood movie that will make every people who would watch it would love it.

There are lessons in this film that hits me and keep in mind - Every bad situation can be solved and No such things as Bad Student, Only a Bad Teacher!! One of my favorites! Last word, one of the best friendship movies that ever be made.....I can guaranteed you that this movie keep you on the edge of your seat. A BIG TWO THUMBS UP for this movie!!! I would recommend you to watch it if you haven't already.

AAL IZZ WELL!!  :))

Movie Blog: Final Destination 5

"Death can't be cheated!"

I just watched this film last September 02, 2011 together with my movie buddy friend.

The last installment of the film is not that different from the rest of the Final Destination series - starting with a vision of death, and ending up being chased by it, which results to heart - pounding scenes and gruesome death of the "lucky ones" who have escaped from it. the opening credits tell you everything you need to know: random pompous objects (scissors, knives, fire extinguishers etc.), get chucked at you through smashing glass, in needle sharp, poke-you-in-the-eye. Although I kind of regret not watching it on 3D because there are some scenes which may look the best in 3D especially in the beginning of the movie.

The disaster start.....collapsing suspension bridge, where a bus-load of corporate retreaters are about to plummet to their deaths before a well-timed premonition. The whole death and fate concept is a very cool idea and it is creepy to think it might be true and when your times up, its up. This new film is no different from the others, the highlight being the major accident / death sequence at the start where everyone gets killed, always impressive, makes you wince and its fun in a rather morbid fashion.

Eye-catching credits starts us off and the excessively gross death were top notch, brutal, gruesome, and very cringe worthy beginning with a horrific bridge collapsed depiction that impressed me as well as the Lasic surgery scene which totally freaked me out. There are twists, turns, and scenes that made your stomach churn. Well, you get the idea.

I have to tell you that this movie is definitely only recommended and suitable for people above 18 years old of age, as there are many disturbing scenes from this film as expected. This is just such a vile and bloody ninety minutes of horror and humor all mashed together! Sorry for a bit of spoiler here! :P

I enjoyed the film but literally I still had the creeps and paranoia after watching this movie. When I saw the first death, I was like holding my friend and saying to her, "Why did we watch this again in the first place?!" LOL. As the movie goes deeper, I been saying, "Oh! F**k" for like a zillion times now! I keep on checking my watch to see how long this movie will end and trying to tell myself that it would be over. Sorry for being such a scared freak!! :))

Movie Blog: Rise of the Planet of the Apes

Since, I was into movies lately! I decided to make a movie blog to share to you guys how this movies I've watched appears exciting! Looks interesting, right? Of course...I was really skeptical about watching this film because I was discouraged beforehand since I was told that it was only a remake of the past planet of the apes movie. However, I've read good reviews and my friends told me the movie is great, so I was finally convinced to watch it.
SPOILER WARNING!! The film opens with a chimpanzee called Bright eyes who is being used to test a drug aimed at curing Alzheimer's Disease (dementia) - a drug that coincidentally also vastly improves intelligence. Following a violent outburst, the trial has been terminated and the entire chimps involves in research are put down. Unknown to researcher that Bright eyes had a baby. So this is where the movie starts when Will Rodman (James Franco) takes home the chimp and named it Caesar, who was born to an experimental ape who was killed during a rampage. Caesar was raised, and discovered that Caesar inherited extraordinary intelligence from its mother. Caesar grew up showing human-like intelligence, which made Will decide to try the experimental drug to his father, who is suffering from dementia. Circumstances led to Caesar being admitted to a primate facility, which they are being mistreated. This led Caesar to create a revolution against the human.
Throughout the film I was struck by the ways in which Caesar was humanized. The resulting showdown between the apes and humans is thrilling. Overall, the movie is great. Both the story and the effects are exceptional, though I wasn't more particular with the story since this was a remake, this focuses on mistreatment of animals, particularly with using the animals for testing and poor maintenance of animal facilities. James Franco, as usual, is great. I should emphasize Tom Felton's abilities which made me hate him more (yeah, I still hate Draco Malfoy to this day). Also, notably when Caesar speaks for the first time. That part freaks me out too. At last, Caesar turned out to be still caring and chosen to stay at the forest which is originally their species' home.

The story is interesting, the casts' performance is impressive, the scenes are engaging, the climax is awesome. I could say that the movie is worth watching, and the effects is a good combination. Never at any moment of the film that I feel bored watching at. The whole thing is just exciting!

Thumbs up! :) All hail Caesar!! :))

From Good Lines...

A few movie lines quite heart-melting I must say. If you got something to add, go on. And if you got your own version, let us hear it. Be cheesy! ;) Share some love. Let me share some of my well-loved quotes or lines from Nicholas' Sparks movies/books. Enjoy them as much as I did...:))
A Walk to Remember

"Love is always patient and kind. Love is never never boastful or conceited. It is never rude or selfish. It does not take offense and is not resentful. Love takes no pleasure in other people's sins, but delights in the truth. It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope, and to endure whatever comes."

"I held her close to me with my eyes closed, wondering if anything in my life had ever been this perfect and knowing at the same time that it hadn't. I was in love, and the feeling was even more wonderful than I ever imagined it could be."

"Knowing there's one thing I still haven't told you: I now believe, by the way, that miracles can happen."

"There are moments when I wish I could roll back the clock and take all the sadness away, but I have the feeling that if I did, the joy would be gone as well. So I take the memories as they come, accepting them all."

"Our love is like a wind...I can't see it, but I sure I can feel it."
The Notebook

"I am nothing special, of this I am sure. I am a common man with common thoughts and I've led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will be soon forgotten, but I've loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me, this has always been enough."

"I love you. I am who I am because of you. You are every reason, every hope, and every dream I've ever had, and no matter what happens to us in the future, every day we are together is the greatest day of my life. I will always be yours."

"We fell in love, despite our differences, and once we did, something rare and beautiful was created. For me, love like that has only happened once, and that's why every minute we spent together has been seared in  my memory. I'll never forget a single moment of it."

"So it's not gonna be easy. It's going to be really hard; we're gonna have to work at this everyday, but I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you, forever, everyday. You and me...everyday."

"...But in spite their differences, they had one important thing in common, they were crazy about each other."

"You are my best friend as well as my lover, and I do not know which side of you I enjoy the most. I treasure each side, just as I have treasured our life together."
Message in a Bottle

"Nothing that's worthwhile is ever easy. Remember that."

"Without you in my arms, I feel emptiness in my soul. I find myself searching the crowd for your face - I know its impossibility, but I cannot help myself."

"Thank you for coming into my life and giving me joy, thank you for loving me and receiving my love in return. Thank you for the memories I will cherish forever. But most of all, thank you for showing me that there will come a time when I can eventually let you go."

"I have come to realize that destiny can hurt a person as much as it can bless them, and I find myself wondering why---out of all the people in all the world I could ever have loved--I had to fall in love with someone who was taken away from me."

"As a girl, she had come to believe in the ideal man -- the prince or knight of her childhood stories. In the real world, however, men like that simply didn't exist."
The Last Song

"Sometime you have to be apart from people you love, but that doesn't make you love them any less. Sometimes you love them more."

"Truth only means something when it's hard to admit."

"Life, he realize, was much like a song. In the beginning there is a mystery, in the end there is confirmation, but it's in the middle where all the emotion resides to make the whole thing worthwhile."

"In the end you should always do the right thing even if it's hard."

"The pieces all fit together. Yet everything was falling apart."
Nights in Rodanthe
"Before we met, I was as lost as a person could be and yet you saw something in me that somehow gave me direction again."

"While I sleep, I dream of you, and when I wake, I long to hold you in my arms. If anything, our time apart has only made me more certain that I want to spend my nights by your side, and my days with your heart."

"I've been thinking about you constantly since I left, wondering why the journey I'm on seemed to have led through you. I know my journey's not over yet, and that life is a winding path, but I can only hope it somehow circles back to the place I belong. That's how I think of it now. I belong with you."

"As hard as it was, as terrible and unfair as the way things turned out, I wouldn't have traded the few days I spent with him for anything."

"I finally understood what true love meant....love meant that you care for another person's happiness more than your own, no matter how painful the choices you face might be."

"Our story has three parts: a beginning, middle, and an end. And although this is the way all stories unfold, I still can't believe that ours didn't go on forever."

"Part of me aches at the thought of her being so close yet so untouchable, but her story and mine are different now. It wasn't easy for me to accept this simple truth, because there was a time when our stories were the same, but that was six years and two lifetimes ago."

"No matter where it is in the sky...No matter where you are in the world...the moon is bigger than your thumb."

"I love you, not just for now, but for always, and I dream of the day that you'll take me in your arms again."
